Nuria Malats is a pioneering figure in genetic and molecular epidemiology, specializing in pancreatic and bladder cancer research. Trained at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and IARC-WHO Lyon, she joined CNIO in 2007. As PI of PanGen-EU and co-PI of the Spanish Bladder Cancer/EPICURO Study, her work integrates diverse cancer disciplines. Malats represents Spain in PHGEN and holds positions in ESUR and the European Association of Urology Research Foundation, shaping urological research.
