Professor Asgary is a health services researcher and clinical and public health educator. His research is on cancer control, health disparities solutions, homeless health, global health, and humanitarian assistance. He worked extensively with Doctors Wihout Borders in humanitarian and disaster settings and served on its Boards of Directors for two-terms. His clinical expertise is in internal medicine, preventive medicine, and cancer control. He has extensive clinical and research experience in humanitarian, disasters, and international health working with major humanitarian organizations. Dr. Asgary was the Founding Director of Health and Human Rights program at ISMMS and a senior memebr of Center for Global Health Education at ISMMS. Previously he was Director of Community Medicine at Weill Cornell College of Medicine.
