From November 14th to 17th, 2024, our Secretary General, Denis Horgan and Nicola Di Flora, attended the prestigious 2024 Chinese Congress on Holistic Integrative Oncology (CCHIO) in conjunction with the 4th International Congress of the Asian Oncology Society (AOS2024). Held in the historic city of Xi’an, China, this landmark event brought together over 30,000 participants, including leading oncologists, researchers, anti-cancer organization leaders, and medical journal editors from across the globe.
The congress, themed “Integration and Modernity”, showcased cutting-edge advancements in oncology, fostering global collaboration in cancer prevention and treatment. A significant highlight was the founding of the World Association for Integrative Oncology, uniting renowned experts from over 100 countries.
Xi’an, known as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Warriors, provided a vibrant backdrop for the event, blending its rich history with a modern conference experience. Attendees not only engaged in insightful academic discussions but also had the opportunity to explore the city’s unique culture and cuisine.
